Founded in 1945 by Céline Vipiana in Paris, France, Celine began as a bespoke children's shoe store before evolving into a renowned luxury brand. The label gained prominence in the 1970s with its sophisticated aesthetic, but it was under the direction of Phoebe Philo (2008–2018) that Celine became the global gold standard for modern elegance and clean, understated lines. The iconic Triomphe bag incorporates the classic double C (Blazon Chaine) design logo, which is an ode to the architecture of the Arc de Triomphe.  Today, under Artistic Director Michael Rider, the brand has entered an era of 'Sophisticated Reality.' Rider blends Parisian chic with a preppy, heritage flair, focusing on impeccably tailored, wearable pieces that honor the house's minimalist roots while embracing a bold, contemporary authority.
